Haas machines are common in Indian toolrooms, job shops and training facilities, and they are among the more straightforward machines to bring onto a network — the control exposes its network configuration through the ordinary settings interface rather than behind a maintenance mode.

Both generations are worked with routinely. What a particular machine exposes still depends on its age and options, and is confirmed on your machines during the pilot.
Running, idle, stopped
Machine condition through the shift with exact durations, which is what availability is computed from.
Cycle timing and part counts
Cycles and counts as the machine reports them, giving output and a cycle-time distribution rather than a shift average.
Alarm and fault presence
Enough to separate a fault stop from an idle stop before anybody has to ask what happened.
Operator identity, where enabled
Attribution for activity, where the control and your configuration support it.
Acquisition is configured by the MachineWise engineering team for the control in front of it. Integration is read-only: no control parameter is modified, nothing is installed on the control, and no program is written. What a specific machine exposes is confirmed on your machines during the pilot rather than accepted from a compatibility list.
The procedure differs between generations.

Exact labels and setting numbers vary with control version and software revision, so check against the manual for your machine. The sequence, though, is the same on every Haas: switch DHCP off, enter a reserved static address, apply, then verify from another device before scheduling anything.
Older controls expose less
Two machines of the same family bought years apart can differ. This is a fact about your machine, not a software setting, and it is established during the pilot.
Option packages constrain it
A machine specified minimally at purchase can expose less than an older machine specified generously. Worth checking before a monitoring specification is written.
Why the machine stopped
No control reports a reason. That comes from an operator at the machine, in two taps, and it is what turns a downtime record into a downtime analysis.
