Haas machines are common in Indian toolrooms, job shops and training facilities, and they are among the more straightforward machines to bring onto a network — the control exposes its network configuration through the ordinary settings interface rather than behind a maintenance mode.

Both generations are worked with routinely. What a particular machine exposes still depends on its age and options, and is confirmed on your machines during the pilot.

What monitoring gives you

Running, idle, stopped

Machine condition through the shift with exact durations, which is what availability is computed from.

OUTPUT

Cycle timing and part counts

Cycles and counts as the machine reports them, giving output and a cycle-time distribution rather than a shift average.

EVENTS

Alarm and fault presence

Enough to separate a fault stop from an idle stop before anybody has to ask what happened.

Attribution for activity, where the control and your configuration support it.

How the data is acquired

Acquisition is configured by the MachineWise engineering team for the control in front of it. Integration is read-only: no control parameter is modified, nothing is installed on the control, and no program is written. What a specific machine exposes is confirmed on your machines during the pilot rather than accepted from a compatibility list.

Exact labels and setting numbers vary with control version and software revision, so check against the manual for your machine. The sequence, though, is the same on every Haas: switch DHCP off, enter a reserved static address, apply, then verify from another device before scheduling anything.

Which Haas controls can be monitored?
Both the Next Generation Control and the earlier Classic control. What a specific machine exposes depends on its age and options, confirmed on your machines during the pilot.
Where are network settings on a Haas NGC?
Under the Settings tab, on the Network page, with entries for Wired Connection, DHCP, IP address, subnet mask, gateway and DNS. Switch DHCP off before entering a static address.
Where are they on a Haas Classic control?
In the 900-series numbered settings — network name, DHCP, IP address, subnet mask, gateway and DNS. A control power cycle is usually required after changing them.
How is the data acquired from a Haas control?
Acquisition is configured by the MachineWise engineering team for the control in front of it. Integration is read-only: nothing is written to the control and no setting is modified.
Does connecting affect the machine or its warranty?
No. Nothing is installed on the control and no parameter is changed. Where a service contract has specific clauses, we will review them with your team first.
Will it tell us why a machine stopped?
No control reports a reason. The stop and its duration are captured automatically; the reason comes from the operator in two taps at the machine.
