How the data is acquired

Acquisition is configured by the MachineWise engineering team for the control in front of it. Integration is read-only: no control parameter is modified, nothing is installed on the control, and no program is written. What a specific machine exposes is confirmed on your machines during the pilot rather than accepted from a compatibility list.

Which Mitsubishi controls can be monitored?
The M70 and M700 families, and the newer M80 and M800 families. What a specific machine exposes depends on generation and options fitted, and is confirmed during the pilot.
How is the data acquired?
Acquisition is configured by the MachineWise engineering team for the control in front of it. Integration is read-only, with nothing written to the machine.
Should we use a static IP or DHCP?
Either works, provided the address never changes silently. A static address or a DHCP reservation tied to the machine both achieve that; an ordinary DHCP lease does not.
Why does documenting the address matter?
Because an undocumented address costs an hour of tracing every time equipment moves or a switch is replaced. A sheet in the maintenance file recording machine number, address, switch port and date removes the problem entirely.
Can we monitor Mitsubishi machines alongside older conventional equipment?
Yes, and that is the usual case. Conventional machines connect through a gateway using existing panel signals and appear on the same dashboard with the same state vocabulary.
Does connection require production downtime?
Generally not for a networked control. An address and a cable to the right switch are usually all that is required.
